Our goal is to build a firm foundation for Youth Ministry in our parish and community.


What is Youth Ministry?

Youth Ministry is the RESPONSE of the Christian Community to the NEEDS of young people and the sharing of the unique GIFTS of youth with the larger community.

According to the U.S. Bishops (1997),
Youth Ministry has 3 Primary Goals:
 
EMPOWERMENT
We must empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

PARTICIPATION
We must draw young people to responsible participation in the Life, Mission,
and Work of the Catholic faith community.

GROWTH
We must foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

L1FT High School Youth Ministry (Must be Confirmed)

Meet in the Youth Room (Family Center 220)

 

Weekly meetings will begin in January 2020. The time will be 7:00pm-9:00pm. The first hour will be a time to hangout, chat, and eat. We will then spend time reading and reflecting on the Gospels. We will have an activity and speak over a topic that relates to teens of this modern world. We will end the night in small groups to share our experiences and to celebrate with each other. These gatherings are meant for teens that want to know more about their faith and enter into a deeper relationship with God.
