Fall/Spring Scripture Study

The Scripture Study will be "Mary - the Bible and the Mother of God". We will learn what Scripture, the life of Christ, and the early Church Fathers reveal about Mary by examining the connections between the Old and New Testaments with insights from Dr. Brant Pitre. The group meets every week on Thursday evenings in the Family Center, 7pm, starting September 19 through December 5th, excluding holidays. For more information contact Joyce Purvis at 214-460-9443 or jepurvis1979@yahoo.com

Family Chalice

The St. Monica Chalice Program has more than 200 families as participants. This is a program in which each family can help to overcome the vocation shortage by daily prayer in front of the Chalice in your home for one week. Our goal is to have someone or a family take home a chalice at every Mass, every weekend to pray for vocations. For more information, contact Don Wetzel at 214-368-3640 or doncwetzel@sbcglobal.net.

Little Rock Sunday Scripture Study:

Whether you are a veteran or a beginner, Bible study is a rewarding way to deepen your faith and understanding of the Word of God. We meet on Sundays (except in the summer) in the Family Center immediately after the 9:30 Mass for about 2 hours. There are four essential elements to our program: a) daily personal study (reading scripture and commentary, and reflecting on study questions); b) Sunday morning small-group meetings to share responses to the week's study; c) wrap-up lecture following the small-group discussion; d) prayer, both individually and with your group.

This fall we will start with the study entitled The Bible TimeLine: The Story of Salvation, from Ascension Press--a chronological overview of the entire Bible. No prior scripture study experience is necessary. The fee for the class is $36, which covers the cost of study materials. To register, or for more information, please contact Dan and Sally Cook at sallycooktx@outlook.com, or at 214-794-6575. We invite you to join us!
